Trauma Therapy for the patterns that won’t let go.

Helping people finally move beyond what they’ve understood for years but haven’t been able to change…

Many of my clients have already spent years in therapy, read the books, developed insight, and understand why they feel the way they do. Yet they still find themselves stuck in the same emotional patterns, anxiety cycles, relationship dynamics, or nervous system overwhelm. My work is designed for people who are ready for deeper healing.

At Restored Promise, I help adults heal the lasting effects of childhood trauma, sexual trauma, and painful life experiences through EMDR, parts work, and trauma-focused therapy.

Krystal McDonald, LPCC

I am an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist with advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work. I specialize in trauma therapy for adults struggling with the lasting impact of childhood wounds, relational trauma, chronic stress, perfectionism, people-pleasing, anxiety, shame, and nervous system dysregulation. My work focuses on helping clients move beyond survival to experience real, lasting internal change.

With over a decade of experience, I help clients process trauma at the root — not just intellectually understand it. Rather than stopping at coping skills or symptom management, my approach addresses the underlying trauma, attachment wounds, and protective survival responses driving the patterns beneath the surface.

You can understand your story without staying trapped in it.
